About the role: 

In this multi-faceted role you will take ownership of external queries, office coordination and financial administration. Specifically, you will run our event organisation and provide dedicated support to our Directors and Manager. A large part of the role will involve financial administration and accounting to monitor project expenditure against the budget.

Overseeing our recording and reporting requirements you will also provide up-to-date information in support of Research England annual monitoring reports and any other project reports.

You will lead on liaising with the Central University Finance team and other faculty and central teams at the University of Bath, Oxford, and external partners to ensure all expenditure is appropriately recorded and the project is coordinated effectively.

The expected dates for this fixed term contract are 01/07/2021 to 30/06/2024.

About you:

You will enjoy working in a constantly evolving environment being at the centre of all activities. With excellent financial and administrative skills, you will thrive interacting and building relationships with a broad range of people. In addition, you will have:

    Experience of financial administration and coordination of a team or organisation of 30 plus people

    Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    Experience in overseeing large scale project budgets and of tracking expenditure versus budget

    Set up financial systems and procedures, financial monitoring, raising invoices, making payments, producing succinct financial reports and analysing data

    Supported and coordinated diaries for several persons in demanding roles
