This is a great opportunity to make a critical difference by project managing the development of a Climate Action Framework across the University, through to approval by the University Executive Board in July 2020.

The aim of this Framework will be to establish the ways that the University will work to reduce carbon emissions and to contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation, being clear on areas which will have the greatest impact. The Framework is expected to have four main areas for action: namely Research, Learning & Teaching, Policy and Practice and University Estate.

Reporting to University Climate Action Framework Leader, you will provide project management of a programme of work including support to the Climate Action Framework Working Group, drafting the project plans and logging progress against them.

You will need a strong understanding of the case for climate action, an ability to communicate this knowledge and highly effective project management and coordination skills.

This is a part-time role (0.5 fte) for a fixed-term period/secondment opportunity until August 2020.

Interviews will take place week commencing 18 November 2019.

The closing date for this job opportunity has now passed, and applications are no longer being accepted for this position
