This is an exciting opportunity to join the Student Union’s Activities team, supporting student-led community volunteering groups and sourcing new projects with external partners.

The Volunteering Co-ordinator will be required to build partnerships with internal teams across the SU and the University, as well as networking externally across local charities, schools and other organisations, to create a culture of voluntary and social action. You will be responsible for working with our student led community volunteer groups, to include the delivery of a variety of student leader training sessions, as well as sourcing a range of volunteer opportunities for our students and providing support with volunteer and fundraising good practice.

We are looking for someone with experience in networking with a range of partners, mentoring volunteers in leading projects, as well as an understanding of fundraising and event management. You will also be required to market and promote student volunteering within the community.

You will be able to work independently and calmly under pressure, yet work well as part of a team and have strong time management and interpersonal skills.

This role is offered on a full time basis of 36.5 hours per week
