This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Faculty of Engineering & Design's employability agenda for postgraduate students as part of the Postgraduate Employability Team.   

The role of Postgraduate Employability Co-ordinator is a varied and exciting role that works with students, internal colleagues and at times industry partners.

Day to day you will

  • support and administer employability activities within the Faculty’s MSc programmes including summer consultancy projects, placements and other industry-related experiences
  • work with professional services and academic colleagues in the Faculty and across the University
  • support students by managing all aspects of the summer consultancy projects
  • provide administrative support to the placement process and support the team on a year-round basis with marketing, social media and other ongoing activities.  

This role will suit you if you

  • have outstanding organisational and administrative skills
  • have the digital skills necessary to support social media and marketing activity
  • are able to build relationships with local and international students, alumni and other staff across the University
  • enjoy being a key liaison point for stakeholders and have exceptional communication skills
  • can establish and maintain effective communication channels

This is a 0.5 FTE/ 18.25 hour per week part-time role that will require a working pattern that complements the working pattern of our part-time Postgraduate Partnerships Manager and Postgraduate Employability Officer. This will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

We are an accredited Living Wage employer. Appointments at Grade 2, Spine Point 3, 4 and 5 will receive an additional supplement to ensure a minimum hourly pay equivalent to the Living Wage as confirmed on our Bath pay and grading structure page.
