We have a great opportunity for a Power Platform Developer to join The University of Bath. Working closely with Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) and supporting our School of Management we are looking for a passionate technologist to deliver brilliant applications that deliver immediate impact and increase mobility and agility across the School.  

This role requires a superb communicator and collaborator who can gather ideas from the business and turn those ideas into solutions, troubleshooting issues and providing advice and support. As a self-motivated digital professional, you’ll be engaged in a range of technically challenging work, automating processes and building solutions alongside advocating Power Platform and Office 365 with a program of user-adoption and training to ensure problems are solved.

As the School is going through a highly innovative transformation period ahead of the completion of a new £70m building, this is a unique opportunity.  

Key Responsibilities    

  • Design, configure and deliver applications and features incorporating the full range of Office 365 tools, including Power BI, Power apps, Flow and Forms.  
  • Identify new and alternative approaches to performing business activities. Bring about improvements and measurable business benefits by identifying and proposing process improvements. Where necessary work across teams, both in and out of the School and  Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T).  
  • Establish an appropriate knowledge of the roles of other teams and individuals within Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T), as well as those outside Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) related to the relevant business areas, in particular where systems and services interact. Know-how and from whom to elicit help.
