We are recruiting casual nursery staff (Nursery Nurses and Nursery Assistants) to be part of our friendly Westwood family on a rolling recruitment programme.

Our 48 place Day Nursery catering for children from 6 months to 5 years, is looking to recruit staff on an hourly-paid basis to cover periods of high demand or staff shortages. These employment opportunities are for working on an “as and when” basis.

Main duties will include:

  1. To support the staff in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing atmosphere in a clean, safe environment.
  2. With support and guidance undertake light laundry and kitchen duties.
  3. Communicate with parents and other visitors in a clam, friendly and confidential manner.

Experience of working in a nursery environment would be an advantage but not essential. If you are active, energetic, fun, engaging and most importantly passionate about working with young children to support their development and learning this is the job for you.

We are a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children can learn and develop to their full potential. Every child at the Nursery is seen as an individual, and we support all needs, abilities and interests,. We provide high quality childcare and education, and give children, parents and staff the opportunity to take part in a process of life-long learning.

An Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance will be required for this role.

Rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, we care for the children of staff, students and the local community
