The Knowledge Transfer Partnerships scheme is a UK-wide programme funded by Innovate UK, enabling businesses to improve competitiveness, productivity and performance. We bring together academics, graduates, and businesses on strategic projects.

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) team is a support structure within the University’s Research & Innovation Services group that provides administrative and operational support to the Knowledge Transfer Partnership program, both in active projects and in the grant funding proposal pipeline.

The University of Bath's KTP team consistently achieve outstanding results, with Spirent Communications, a Bath KTP, announced among the finalists for the national KTP Best of the Best Awards 2019.

Due to the team’s growing success in acquiring KTP grant awards, we require an individual to contribute to the financial administration of awarded KTP funding within individual projects, having responsibility for pre-award and post-award administration activities as well as administration for both business and grant income. This could include liaising with Innovate UK advisors, industrial partners, academic principal investigators, KTP Associates on project issues, and liaising with faculty Finance and other professional services departments such as Finance and Human Resources.

Due to the national distribution of the KTP projects and the nature of the role, a willingness to undertake regional travel for partner company site visits is essential. This may require early start hours and/or late finish times, depending on the location and timing of the meetings.

The post-holder must have the flexibility to accommodate a working week that could vary considerably to meet the demands of the workflow.

This is a part time position for 18.25 hours per week.
