Professor Dot Griffiths OBE FCGI FRSA Appointed by Council
Will undertake the responsibilities of members of governing bodies as set out in the CUC Guide for Members of Higher Education Governing Bodies in the UK.
Role
Professor Dot Griffiths was appointed to the Council of the University of Bath in 2019 for a term of 3 years which was renewed in 2022 and again in 2025. Dot was appointed Senior Independent Director (SID) on 10 July, 2025.
Career
Professor Griffiths is an alumna of London and Bath Universities. She spent her entire academic career at Imperial College where she held a number of senior roles in the College and the Business School including Deputy Dean and Head of Programmes, Dean, and Provost’s Envoy for Gender Equality.
She consulted widely for national and international organisations.
She was awarded an OBE for Services to Higher Education in 2010.
She is also a member of:
