The Department of Computer Science:
- is ranked 11th overall in the UK (out of 105 departments) in the Times Good University Guide (2010)
- has achieved the highest possible outcome in the most recent Quality Assurance Agency Developmental Engagement
- has strong links with other departments in the University in both its research and teaching
- offers research in digital media, visualisation, human-computer interaction, internet technologies, security and networking
- has strong links with industry including HP, Vodafone, BAE Systems, Morgan Stanley, Accenture, Goldman Sachs, IBM, and IPL
We can offer BSc, MComp and MSc taught degees; and PhD and EngD research degrees. Our undergraduate programmes have an optional year in industry, and graduates are highly valued. Our PhD programme offers the chance to research at the highest level and our EngD programme allows you to achieve a doctorate while working in industry.
