Placement Blog Competition launched
7 September 2012
Students from the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences
who are commencing their placement or year abroad have been invited to participate in a new blog
competition.
The aim of the competition is to provide first and second year students, and applicants to the University, with real life insight into the placement or year abroad experience – and for placement students to feel more engaged with each other whilst they are off campus.
The blogs are available online.
Bloggers are encouraged to discuss different elements of their experiences – working, travelling, living as a placement student, along with any skills and insight that they are developing.
First, second and fourth year students from each of the Faculty’s departments will then vote for their favourite blogger, who will receive a £100 prize, and an overall Faculty winner will receive an additional £150. Prizes will be announced in July 2013.
