Faculty students take 5 prizes at University of Bath Arts & Media Awards 2013
We are pleased to announce that five of our students have been awarded prizes at the University of Bath Arts & Media Awards 2013. The University of Bath celebrated its vibrant arts and media scene at the annual Arts & Media Awards on its Claverton Down campus on Wednesday the 24th of April.
- Jemma Jeanes, BSc Politics and International Relations won the major award of the evening: the Marjorie Vadelinde Prize.
- Matt Powell, BA (hons) Modern Languages and European Studies (French and Spanish) - The Santander Prize For Excellence In Media Production.
- Elias Nosrati, BSc (hons) Sociology - The Santander Prize For An Outstanding Artist
- Rowan Emslie, BSc (hons) Social Sciences - The Santander Prize For Leadership In The Media
- Anna Vidos BA (hons) Childhood, Youth and Education Studies - The Peter Redfern Prize for Theatre
Of the awards presented on the evening, six were donated by long-standing supporters of the arts
at the University, while eight were supported by one of the University’s major corporate partners,
Santander. These awards, presented by Matt Huttnell from Santander Universities, celebrated ‘
outstanding achievement in the field of arts and media’. The evening also featured performances and
presentations by students across a variety of arts and media-related disciplines.
