The International Relations Office (IRO) is pleased to announce the 2020 International Funding Schemes call.

Following the launch of the University's Internationalisation Strategy 2019 to 2021, the International Funding Schemes will promote collaborative research and strengthen our global partnerships, with the purpose of embedding internationalisation across all dimensions of our University.

The schemes provide seed-funding for joint activities in research, education and professional services, with a view towards developing networks of excellence and best practice around complementary strengths and shared values.

The current call invites proposals that focus on building links with our University’s core partners as well with European universities and research institutes.

A new strand will provide support for postgraduate research summer or winter schools, which will showcase our University’s interdisciplinary research and work with international partners to further enrich our doctoral training programmes.

In a new funding category, the call will also promote curriculum internationalisation by supporting activities for collaborative teaching, study tours and networks with Bath alumni. We invite applications from staff interested in internationalising their course provision and enhancing our students’ experience with new international perspectives.

Decisions on awards will be made by a selection panel chaired by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International and Doctoral) and comprising of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research), the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching), the Interim Head of International Relations (IRO) and the Academic Director of the Doctoral College.

Deadlines

All successfully funded visits are expected to start after 1 January 2020 and are eligible to receive funding until 31 December 2020.
