Green Impact

At University of Bath, you’re part of a community committed to sustainability. Join Green Impact to be part of an exciting wave of transformational change.

Spark change across campus, create big impact and take action

Join Green Impact, a globally recognised sustainability engagement programme that has been tailored to the University of Bath.

Whether you are beginning to take your first steps into sustainability, or feel like there’s nothing left for you to do – you can make meaningful, visible progress as part of Green Impact.

The online toolkit breaks the University’s sustainability goals into simple, manageable actions while holding space for creativity and room to grow. We have worked with SOSUK to create a bespoke toolkit for staff and students that will enable you to complete actions in line with the University strategy and sustainability commitments.

By engaging with this programme, staff will:

  • reduce environmental impact
  • create positive social impact
  • improve sustainability knowledge
  • be part of a growing community of transformation and changemakers
  • develop transferable skills
  • become a force for good

What is Green Impact?

Green Impact is our online, bespoke toolkit that encourages collaborative action for sustainability. There are over 200 actions to complete that you can pick and choose from - there is something for everyone! This initiative aims to recognise and celebrate the sustainability efforts already being undertaken across the university, while also offering clear and accessible pathways for staff who are new to this area to get involved.

The actions cover a broad range of sustainability themes including:

  • energy
  • waste
  • procurement
  • travel
  • wellbeing
  • biodiversity

Staff work together in teams to complete actions, tracking progress and uploading evidence across the academic year.
