Green Impact

At University of Bath, you’re part of a community committed to sustainability. Join Green Impact to be part of an exciting wave of transformational change.

What is Green Impact?

Green Impact, delivered by student-led education charity SOS-UK, is a sustainability engagement programme that will support you and your colleagues who want to improve your sustainability and social responsibility.

Whether you’re taking your first steps into sustainability, or feel like there’s nothing left for you to do – you can make meaningful, visible progress as part of Green Impact, and get recognised for your efforts!

The Green Impact online toolkit breaks the University’s sustainability goals into simple, manageable actions while holding space for creativity and room to grow. We have worked with SOS-UK to create a bespoke toolkit for University of Bath staff that will enable you to complete actions in line with the University strategy and sustainability commitments, local targets and the culture of the University. The simple, meaningful actions cover a wide range of sustainability themes, including energy, waster, water, biodiversity and wellbeing so there is plenty to get involved with.

The programme will launch on Wednesday 15 January. From then on, teams of staff and students will work together to complete actions, tracking progress and uploading evidence to the toolkit as you go. At the end of the year, we will hold an awards ceremony to recognise and celebrate the positive change and impact of teams.

Green Impact team members are able to make a real difference and can develop transferable skills and knowledge by leading a Green Impact team.
