A big part of making change for sustainability is talking about it. There are lots of things you can do to share your enthusiasm and meet and learn from people you wouldn’t otherwise cross paths with.
Join a staff network
Join the Sustainable Bath Network on Microsoft Teams to keep up to date with sustainability action at Bath, including Green Impact.
Lab users can join the LEAF Network to share best practice with other lab users.
If you cycle to campus or would like to, join:
- Bicycle Users Group for tips, advice and to ask any questions you might have
- Riding In and Out Group to arrange group cycle commutes with colleagues
Set up your Green Impact team
Work together to make meaningful, visible progress for sustainability as part of Green Impact.
Set up a team or join an existing one to reduce your environmental impact, create positive social change and improve sustainability knowledge in your work area or department.

Many of our staff and students are involved with the community in and around Bath.
One of our civic collaborations is Future Ambition. Set up between organisations in Bath and North East Somerset, Future Ambition aims to work together for the collective good of our people and our place.

Inspire change for the next generation
To help inspire sustainable solutions, you could become a Climate Ambassador. In this role, you can volunteer your time and expertise to work with local primary and secondary schools and teach them about climate change.
This is your chance to inspire and empower young people, showing them the possibilities of a climate-positive future.
