Equality and diversity in the Department of Physics

The Department is firmly committed to promoting equality and diversity.

Factsheet

The Physics Department values, promotes and celebrates inclusion, challenging discrimination and putting equality, diversity and belonging at the heart of everything we do. We aim to be an inclusive Department, where difference is celebrated, respected and encouraged.

The Department Self Assessment Team (DSAT) consists of representatives from the Physics undergraduate and postgraduate students, from the department’s research and teaching staff and from its administrative and technical support staff. Our goal is to foster an environment where everyone can do their best work.

Please contact your representative or any other DSAT member about ideas, suggestions or concerns regarding Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI).

You may also post questions, opinions or suggestions regarding EDI or the department’s functioning more broadly in the anonymous drop box in Physics Square or via the online suggestion box.
