In addition to becoming a certified sustainability auditor for Green Impact, you will put your learning into practice straight away and work together to conduct audits of 15 University departments. Over the past year, teams across the University have been working on our staff sustainability programme, Green Impact, and you now can review and audit this work.
Express your interest to become a sustainability auditor by Monday 9 March 2026. You will be contacted in April to confirm your place.
This training will support you to deepen your understanding of sustainability in the workplace and develop transferable employability skills including:
- communication
- team working
- decision making
- time management
As an auditor, you will play an important role in helping shape and progress the University’s work to foster a sustainable future for both people and the planet. Lunch and refreshments will be provided on the day as a thank you for your time and effort volunteering on this project.
The audit process
Your training and audit will be held on Wednesday 20 May 2026 in 10W 2.02.
- your training will take place from 9.30am to 12pm
- lunch will be provided from 12pm to 12.45 pm (please bring your own reusable water bottle)
Audit review of content will take place from 1pm to 4 pm.
Your audit in person with staff will happen across a two hour slot, on Thursday 21 May 2026.
After the audit
After the audit process, you will:
- receive a digital certification badge
- gain ISEP training certification
