Your reception is a chance to informally celebrate with your classmates, departmental staff and guests after your ceremony.

Getting to your reception

The receptions will be held in Bath Recreation Ground:

There is a Bath and North East Somerset Council operated short-stay car park at Bath Pavilion and another car park just across the road at Bath Cricket Club.

The Recreation Ground can be accessed a number of ways. The easiest way to find the marquee site is to come to Bath Pavilion where the gowning is located and walk around the left hand side of the Pavilion following the signs to the receptions.

Reception schedule

The reception timings can be found on the reception dates and times page.

Each reception will last an hour and a half.

A complimentary glass of prosecco and light canapes will be served on arrival. The bar will also be open for you and your guests to purchase drinks. Please note that the canapes are offered as light refreshment and not intended to provide a meal.

Your department will hold speeches or award prizes approximately half way through the reception. If there's anything you need to know in advance they will get in touch with you directly.

A roving photographer will be present at the receptions. The photographs will be circulated afterwards for you to download free of charge. If you don't want to be included in photographs please let the photographer know.

Bringing guests to your reception

You can bring two guests to your graduation reception free of charge.

Bringing additional guests

You can request to bring additional guests when you register. When the registration deadline has passed, we might release additional tickets, depending on availability.

To bring additional guests, you'll need to pay:

• £9.60 (includes VAT) for each child aged 3 to 17
• £18 (includes VAT) for each adult aged 18 or over

Children aged two or under can attend for free and don't require a ticket.

Booking guest tickets

You need to book for all attendees, free and paid, using the link emailed to you in March. The deadline for booking tickets is Wednesday 1 July.

When you've booked tickets, you'll receive an email confirmation listing your tickets. You need to bring this email on the day, either printed or on your phone, as it will be checked on entry to the reception.
