Maths Routes from 2019
From 2019 International Baccalaureate (IB) students will be able to study one of four mathematics routes:
- Mathematics: Analysis and approaches (Higher Level)
- Mathematics: Analysis and approaches (Standard Level)
- Mathematics: Applications and interpretation (Higher Level)
- Mathematics: Applications and interpretation (Standard Level)
Our entry requirements for students studying one of these routes will depend on which of our courses you wish to apply for.
Students applying for courses in Mathematics
Including Mathematics, Mathematical Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics & Statistics, Computer Science & Maths, Maths & Physics, and Economics & Maths
We are able to consider applications from students studying the Higher Level Analysis and Approaches route.
If you are studying the Higher Level Applications and Interpretation route please contact our Admissions Team before applying, as we will only be able to consider you in exceptional circumstances.
Students applying for courses requiring A level Mathematics
Not including our Mathematics degrees as outlined above
We are able to consider applications from students studying either the Higher Level Analysis and Approaches route or the Higher Level Applications and Interpretation route.
If the entry requirements for the course you would like to apply for state that we currently accept Standard Level Maths then we will be able to consider applications from students studying the Standard Level Analysis and Approaches route.
Students applying for all other undergraduate courses
We are able to consider applications from students studying any of the four Maths routes. Either Higher Level course will be accepted as part of a student’s three required Higher Level subjects.
