How to arrange for a former student's award to be verified, or to request a reference.
COVID-19 and getting verification
Because of the current circumstances involving Coronavirus (COVID-19) we're working at home in line with government guidelines. This means we're unfortunately not able to offer verification documentation in hard-copy at the moment.
Award and degree verification, and references for former students
Academic Registry is responsible for the verification of awards, which are often requested by potential employers or government organisations in the form of a reference request.
To have a former student's qualification verified or to request for a reference please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please provide the following information so that the request can be dealt with as promptly as possible:
- Family name of the graduate
- Forename(s) of the graduate
- Graduate's date of birth
- Student number (if known)
- Degree programme/Award title
- Year of graduation
- Your contact details
If you wish to confirm a former student's study dates you will need to provide us with authorisation from the student in question. Please attach this to your email.
