Why we collect your personal data and how we use it
Subscribing to the IPR mailing list
As of 30 May, the IPR will use Mailchimp (a third-party service) for its mailing list. Please review Mailchimp’s Terms of Use and Privacy Statement.
When registering on the IPR’s mailing list, we ask you to provide your name and email address. We use this information to send you e-newsletters about upcoming IPR events and to provide you with news and information about the IPR.
Every email we send to you will include details on how to change your communications preferences or unsubscribe from future communications.
Booking tickets to IPR events
The IPR uses Eventbrite (a third-party service) to manage ticket booking for events. Please review Eventbrite’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
When you book tickets on Eventbrite, we ask that you provide your name and email address for bookings. This information is used to issue the tickets and to contact you with important information relating to your booking, such as confirming your order, reminding you of an upcoming event you have booked for, or letting you know about updates to event details.
The booking form also includes an optional question about accessibility needs. This is to ensure that we can meet any requirements you may have in relation to access.
When booking a ticket, we also ask if you would like to be added to the IPR mailing list. If you choose to be added to our mailing list, we will use the name and email address provided at time of booking to do this. You will be given an opportunity to unsubscribe in every marketing email we send. If you do not ask to be added to the mailing list, we will not add you to it.

We keep your personal data for as long as we need to for the purposes for which it was collected or until you ask use to remove your personal data, in accordance with your rights below. We will assess the personal data that we hold on a regular basis to determine its relevance and destroy your personal data if we no longer require it or no longer provide any services to you.
We will always respect a request by you to stop contact by any or all methods of communication, or for any specific purpose.
