International Education: Curriculum, Assessments, and Leadership Research Group

We research international and comparative education, focusing on international systems of schooling, curricula, assessment, and leadership.

What is the International Education: Curriculum, Assessments, and Leadership Research Group?

We are interested in the systematic study of national and international education in theory and practice.

Our research reflects our strong research expertise in core themes of:

  • large-scale assessments (such as PISA, TIMSS, and ICCS)
  • curriculum studies (including knowledge, power, positioning, and pedagogy)
  • the leadership of schools and colleges (including administration, management, and governance) within national and international contexts.

We are interested in the development of educational leadership, global competence, sustainability, international mindedness, global citizenship, and similar concepts in national and international school settings and in higher education.
