Dinh-Long Pham and Brighton Kaoma are one of 30 pairs of youth climate leaders and climate experts from across the world matched for 1-2-1 conversations as part of this year’s ActNowFilm.

ActNowFilm: youth climate leaders in conversation with climate experts is an international youth voices in climate change project, selected to showcase at COP28. The film is based on 1-2-1 conversations between 30 pairs of youth climate leaders and world leading climate experts.

Dinh-Long Pham is a French-born Vietnamese who supports young people to achieve greater climate impact. He works in Paris, Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City. He is a community builder, facilitator and podcast host with a passion for youth empowerment and engagement, social justice and climate change.

Dinh-Long is engaged in several innovative projects to promote climate action, including the Movers Programme (a youth-led movement to spread awareness of the SDGs across the Asia-Pacific region) and the Climate Collage (a serious game to retrace the IPCC's reasoning). His podcast ‘Life Line’ amplifies the voices of inspiring changemakers that advocate for the SDGs and climate action. He is also serving on the Youth Advisory Board of Hull University’s ‘Youth-led adaptation for climate change challenges in Vietnam’ project, in partnership with Vietnam National University. Finally, he also co-founded Compost City Game, a board game to raise awareness about composting.

Dinh-Long is currently working with young social entrepreneurs, leaders and climate advocates across the Asia-Pacific region through Youth Co:Lab, the Youth Empowerment in Climate Action Platform (YECAP), and the Movers Programme – three youth projects of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Asia-Pacific. He was recently selected by The One UN Climate Change Learning Partnership as one of their 11 Climate Champions for 2022. Dinh-Long holds a master’s in Management and Marketing from HEC Paris and he is a lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Project Management at the Royal University of Law and Economics in Cambodia.

Brighton Kaoma is the Founder & CEO of Amano, a B2B online marketplace where top executives share transferrable skills to early professionals, midcareer managers, and senior executives. Prior, Brighton served as Global Director in the United Nations systems in New York where he led global programs on education, network building, and youth across 127 countries. He holds a MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University & is pursuing an MBA at Rutgers Business School. He serves on the advisory boards of Reverse the Red at IUCN, SDG Academy at UN SDSN, and Radio Workshop in South Africa. He’s received recognition from President Obama and is a recipient of both the Queen’s Young Leaders Award from Queen Elizabeth II and the WWF International President’s award.
