The School of Management
The School of Management is one of the UK's leading business schools. Currently ranked 1st for Business (Sunday Times University Guide) and 1st for Accounting and Finance (Times Good University Guide), we are a leading centre for management research - placed 5th in the UK in the latest RAE.
Our Research
We have an excellent reputation for the quality of our research which covers all areas of management. Research is structured around issue-based, multi-disciplinary groups and a number of industry-funded research centres and projects exist within the School.
Our Scholarly Community
We have a faculty of approximately 90 teaching and research staff with a support team of around 70 managerial and administrative staff. Research income has averaged £2 million per annum. There are approximately 2,100 students in total, comprising around 200 MBA students, 450 Master’s students, 210 full- and part-time research students and over 1,100 undergraduates following BSc degrees.
The School also runs joint programmes with Departments in the Faculties of Engineering and Design, Science, and Department of Politics, Languages & International Studies.

We offer a range of programmes which provide a solid foundation in the key business disciplines for students from undergraduate to postgraduate and post-experience level
Research degrees are available for those who wish to specialise in an area of academic research relating to management. Part-time courses specifically tailored to the needs of those working in business are also available.
