I came to understand African diversity in terms of both business-making and cultural aspects.

The company visit added value to me... a good example of entrepreneurship in an emerging country.

During 2011/12 Global Residencies will be offered to MBA students in collaboration with leading business schools in Beijing, China (University of Tsinghua) and Marseille, France (Euromed Management).

Global Residencies provide  an intensive 7 days of international study and are open to both full-time and part-time, Executive MBA students. These study tours typically include lectures, case studies, company visits and student presentations on a company project, cultural awareness events as well as the opportunity to visit local sites of interest.

Associated benefits include:

  • Raise awareness of international management issues through exposure to the business environment of another country;
  • Understanding the impact of different political, economic, social and technological contexts on business activity;
  • Undertake a project either in Beijing or Marseille and apply knowledge from the classroom to a live situation;
  • Gain practical insight into companies operating in China or France;
  • Networking with MBA alumni in Beijing during the Tsinghua Global Residency.

Programme duration: 7 days in June, 2012.
2nd -9th June (Euromed, Marseille); 16th - 23rd June ( Tsinghua, Beijing).
Availability: Full-time and part-time, Executive MBA students.
Programme Cost: Approx. £1000 - £1200 to include board, lodging cultural and company visits.
Additional information: Students will  need to budget for their transport to the host country.
