The Highways Agency
Much of Agile's case study research has taken place on Highways Agency projects. This has resulted in a better understanding of the changing role of the client in the supply chain and of the relative merit of different forms of procurement and tender assessment procedures.
The Highways Agency are seeking to use the findings from procurement system benchmarking to re-configure their procurement systems to ensure they pull ‘best value’ from the supply chain for their stakeholders. They are seeking to act as an exemplar for public sector procurement.
