However, part-time applicants are responsible for managing their time in order to be able to take all the formal taught and other training and research components, and for ensuring they actively participate in the research life of the School. No exceptions or waivers for formal taught and other training and research components are possible for part-time candidates who have time commitments elsewhere.

University Research Studentship Allowance (URSA) (Full and Part time, Home/EU and Overseas students)
Applications from any field in the School are eligible. Please see below for further information Funding is provided for three years or four years (or equivalent part-time)

Full Award (each year) provides:

  • Home/EU fee waiver £4,400
  • Stipend of approximately £14,300 for living expenses
  • Training Support Fee of £1,000

OR

Fees-only Award (each year) provides up to 100% Home/EU fee waiver

School of Management Graduate Research Studentship (GRS) (Full time, Home/EU and Overseas students)

Applications from the fields of Accounting & Finance (AFL), or Marketing or Business & Society (MBS) or Strategy & Organisation (SO) are eligible. Please see below for further information.

GRS

Successful applicants are expected to provide up to 133 of seminar-based teaching hours per annum in years 2, 3 and 4.

Funding is provided for four years

Full Award (each year) provides:

  • Home/EU fee waiver £4,400
  • Stipend of approximately £14,300 for living expenses
  • Training Support Fee of £1,000 in years 2,3, and 4
