As a leading international centre for management research, our faculty inform policy at the highest levels of business and society.

We are ranked 5th in the UK for research in the latest Financial Times' MBA ranking and 8th in the UK in the Times Higher Education's REF rankings external website for business and management studies.

Our research culture is both interdisciplinary and international. The practice of interdisciplinary research within flexible clusters of staff is a defining strength of the School of Management. This is complemented by an active policy of internationalisation which encourages joint research with leading academic institutions in Europe, the USA and Asia.  We currently have around 100 international teaching and research staff and 105 PhD students.

Our Divisions

Our research output is structured around four divisions which span several functional disciplines. Teaching is also organised within these divisions. The members actively seek outstanding PhD candidates.
