Develop your sustainability knowledge and skills

Become equipped and empowered to create real, positive impact during your time at Bath and beyond.

Learn about sustainability in your course or discipline

No matter what course you study, we've embedded sustainability in the curriculum you're taught. Continue the momentum and help make sustainability a bigger part of your learning journey.

While studying

Start by:

  • talking to your tutor or academic rep: ask how sustainability is woven into your upcoming course content and let them know if there are sustainability concepts you want to learn more about
  • requesting Climate Fresk: if your course doesn't include this exciting climate workshop, speak to your lecturers or academic rep
  • completing your end of unit evaluation: this is a perfect opportunity to have your voice heard and share what you've gained from learning about different areas of sustainability

While completing your dissertation or final year project

Delve into sustainability within your discipline and show future employers your understanding of real-world challenges.

The 1 in 5 project is a helpful resource for all disciplines to find both inspiration and support in picking a sustainability focused project.

At Bath, there are a growing number of final year projects and dissertations on cross-cutting themes that demonstrate more than just academic ability.
