MSc Football Medicine in association with FIFA

Developed in partnership with FIFA, this specialist master's course is designed for qualified doctors looking to gain the skills needed to conduct clinical practice in football settings. Through his degree, you'll benefit from Bath’s clinical expertise and FIFA’s industry insights, and even have chance to visit FIFA's medical facilities in Zurich, Switzerland.

MSc Sport and Exercise Medicine

This is a specialist academic and clinical online master's course exclusively for qualified doctors. You'll develop the in-depth knowledge and clinical skills you need to conduct clinical practice in sport and exercise settings.

MSc Sports Physiotherapy

Specially designed for qualified physiotherapists, this online master's course aims to deepen your knowledge of sports physiotherapy, athlete management and performance enhancement.

Our MSc Football Medicine in association with FIFA, MSc Sport and Exercise Medicine and MSc Sports Physiotherapy degree courses are delivered via part-time distance learning.

We are one of just a few universities offering these types of courses, which provide the convenience of being able to complete your studies while remaining in clinical practice.

In addition to online content which will be accessible on a flexible basis, you will take part in residential teaching weeks to support your practical and clinical examination training.

Join a research-led department


Our Department for Health undertakes a wide variety of research, the impact of which ranges from influencing international policy and practice, through to generating millions of pounds of cost savings for governments.

Researchers in the department are exploring topics such as participation in physical activity among older demographics and the impact of social media on mental health. Bath research also helped Team GB at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

As a student, you will have access to research generated by several research centres and groups, including our world-leading Centre for Pain Research (CPR).
