The Access and Participation Plan Consultation

Learn more about our Access and Participation Plan (APP) and the APP consultation process

In October, the Office for Students (OfS) released its consultation on a new approach to regulating equality of opportunity, which lays out proposed changes to Access and Participation plans for Higher Education Providers. The University is now in the process of rewriting its APP.

One of the key priorities in the APP rewrite process is to ensure that the our new aims and objectives are built collaboratively with the university community, and to create spaces for staff to be able to contribute to the creation of the new APP in a meaningful way.

Between October and December 2022, we held a series of APP consultation workshops with staff and students across the University - these workshops are now closed.

We are now entering phase two of the APP rewrite consultation process, where we will take our findings and draft documents to key staff and student groups for targeted feedback.
