In October, the Office for Students (OfS) released its consultation on a new approach to regulating equality of opportunity, which lays out proposed changes to Access and Participation plans for Higher Education Providers. The University is now in the process of rewriting its APP.

One of our key priorities when producing the University's new APP has been to ensure that the our new aims and objectives are built collaboratively with the university community, and to create spaces for staff and students to be able to contribute to the creation of the new APP in a meaningful way.

Between October 2022 and March 2023, we held a series of APP consultation workshops and put in place a range of mechanisms for staff and students to engage with the production of our new APP.
