This webinar will explore the people, processes, and opportunities that can help researchers engage with Parliament and contribute to evidence-informed policymaking.

The aims of the webinar

• Provide participants with a clearer understanding of how Parliament engages with research evidence and expertise, including the roles played by Select Committees, POST, the House of Commons Library, and other parliamentary teams.

• Provide participants with practical insight into preparing and communicating research for parliamentary audiences, identifying opportunities to engage with Parliament and contribute their expertise, and exploring routes into parliamentary fellowships, secondments, and careers.

• Ensure participants leave feeling more confident navigating the parliamentary landscape and identifying appropriate pathways for engagement and impact.

The event is open to Early Career Researchers, PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, academics, research staff, and professional services colleagues who are interested in broadening their knowledge, reach and impact of their work.
