The 2nd International Conference on Injury and Illness Prevention in Sport aims to bring together researchers, clinicians, practitioners and students to explore contemporary challenges in sport and exercise medicine.
The conference will be hosted by the UK Collaborating Centre on Injury and Illness Prevention in Sport (UKCCIIS) — an IOC Research Centre of Excellence — and will offer you the opportunity to:
- hear about the latest developments in the field
- interact with world-leading experts
- discuss translation from research to practice
Programme and keynote speakers
The conference will explore a number of key themes, including:
- Proactive and positive management of growth and maturation
- Advancing mental health in sport
- Female athlete health
- Respiratory medicine
- Data-driven innovation in sport
- Winter sports
There will also be events for early-career professionals. These will include a social activity on the evening of 16 June, and a networking breakfast on the morning of 18 June, which will privide the opportunity to network with leading experts in academic, industry and clinical practice.
Keynote speakers
Professor Roald Bahr, Professor Kirsty Elliot-Sale, and Dr Debbie Palmer will provide keynote talks.
