Complete your student survey and enter a prize draw

Students can enter prize draws by completing the appropriate survey for their unit, course and their overall student experience.

The University is committed to working with all students and their representatives to enhance learning, teaching and the student experience, and student surveys are an important way we do this.

To encourage you to complete surveys, there are several prizes on offer. Students really do win these prizes - our 2024/25 prize draw winners have told us why they shared their views.

Information about the winners of each survey's prize draw are listed below.

Unit evaluations

For students on taught units.

All taught undergraduate and postgraduate students will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win 5 x £100 cash by completing unit evaluations.

The 2024/25 winners were:

Undergraduate student surveys

For undergraduates.

National Student Survey (NSS)

All final year undergraduate students will be automatically entered into the NSS prize draw to win one of the following fantastic prizes:

  • 1 x English Sparkling Wine Afternoon Tea for four in the elegant 18th century Pump Rooms
  • 2 x Twilight Package for two at Thermae Bath Spa

The 2025 winners were:

  • Department of Mechanical Engineering Student (Pump rooms)
  • Sara Martin Fuentes (Thermae Bath Spa) - Department of Economics/Mathematical Sciences
  • Department of Mechanical Engineering Student (Thermae Bath Spa)

Course-level Survey

All eligible non-final year undergraduate students will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win one of the following cash prizes when they complete the Course-level Survey:

  • 1 x £250 cash
  • 1 x £70 cash

The 2025 winners were:

Taught postgraduate student surveys

For taught postgraduates.

Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)

All eligible taught postgraduate and professional doctoral students will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win one of the following cash prizes when they complete PTES:

  • 1 x £250 cash
  • 1 x £70 cash

The 2025 winners were:

  • Department of Social and Policy Sciences Student (£250)
  • Krishnapriya Prathap (£70) - Department of Mathematical Sciences

PGT Dissertation Survey

All taught postgraduate students eligible for PTES will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win 1 x £50 Amazon voucher by completing the PGT Dissertation Survey.

The 2025 winner was a MSc Applied Psychology & Economic Behaviour student.

Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)

For postgraduate research students.

All eligible doctoral and professional doctoral students will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win one of the following cash prizes when they complete PRES:

  • 1 x £250 cash
  • 1 x £70 cash

The PRES 2025 winners were:

Be Well Survey

For all registered students.

All students registered with the University of Bath will be automatically entered into the Be Well Survey prize draw to win one of the following prizes:

  • 1 x £500 cash
  • 2 x £100 cash
  • 2 x £50 cash

Student surveys have different closing dates and terms and conditions.

Survey closing dates

The closing dates for 2025/26 surveys are:

  • Be Well Survey - Sunday 9 November 2025
  • Unit Evaluations - Sunday 14 December 2025 (Semester 1), and Sunday 3rd May 2026 (Semester 2)
  • Course-level Survey - Closing date to be confirmed for 2026
  • NSS - Closing date to be confirmed for 2026
  • PTES - Closing date to be confirmed for 2026
  • PRES - scheduled to return in 2027
  • PGT Dissertation Survey - opens during the summer period

Terms and conditions

All students who are on the appropriate unit and/or course for Unit Evaluations, NSS, Course-level Survey, PTES, PRES and PGT Dissertation Survey will automatically be entered into the relevant survey draw at the specific closing date for the survey or individual unit. All registered students will be entered into the Be Well Survey prize draw.

  • Five prizes of £100 cash are available for Unit Evaluations, with one prize draw entry per Unit Evaluation completed
  • Two prizes of Twilight Spa Package for two and one prize of afternoon tea gift voucher are available for NSS and cannot be substituted for a cash alternative
  • One prize of £250 cash and one prize of £70 cash is available for the Course-level Survey
  • One prize of £250 cash and one prize of £70 cash is available for PTES
  • One prize of £250 cash and one prize of £70 cash is available for PRES
  • One £50 Amazon voucher is available for the PGT Dissertation Survey and cannot be substituted for a cash alternative
  • One prize of £500 cash, two prizes of £100 cash and two prizes of £50 cash are available for the Be Well Survey

All winners will be drawn at random. Winners will be notified by email from the Centre for Learning & Teaching by:

  • end of November for the Be Well Survey
  • end of May for NSS, Course-level Survey, PTES and PRES
  • mid-August for Unit Evaluations
  • end of August for PGT Dissertation Survey

Winners (except for the Be Well Survey) will be announced online by the Centre for Learning & Teaching by 31 October 2025.
