Proving you're a student of the University
If you need to prove you are a student of the University you can do this in one of two ways. You can either:
download a self-service student status certificate from SAMIS, as long as you are fully registered. Once you've logged into SAMIS, scroll down to the ‘Proof of Status letter request’ section. Then click on the 'Self-Service student status certificate' link. This document is not suitable for opening a bank account.
request a certified document via SAMIS, as long as you are fully registered. We will email you a letter in PDF format. This document is suitable for opening a bank account or if you need to provide confirmation of your student status to a government or official body.
Any third party who receives these documents from you can email us to confirm their authenticity.
