Paid employment is central to our experiences of health and wellbeing.

Our group draws on disciplines in the social and human sciences to conduct research and scholarship that aims to influence policy and practice as well as contributing to basic science.

Collaborative partnerships with public and private sector employers, and direct engagement with government agencies and policy-makers are central to our approach.

Doctoral supervision

We provide supervision for MPhil and PhD as well as Professional Doctorate students; we welcome new applicants.

We also have occasional Studentship opportunities. You can find more information about funding opportunities on the Graduate School website.
