In its pilot year, the SPARK Award connects sustainability learning, skills development and opportunities into a joined-up student journey. As you progress, you'll explore how sustainability relates to your subject, future career and everyday life, while developing the knowledge and skills to take action.

Through the SPARK Award, you will:
The SPARK programme is a three-level pathway that supports you to develop your sustainability knowledge, take action and demonstrate your impact.
As you progress, you'll build a portfolio of experiences and achievements that helps you showcase your skills, knowledge and advocacy throughout your time at Bath.
All students, regardless of discipline, graduate as a Sustainability Citizen through their course.
As a Sustainability Citizen, you'll:
As a Sustainability Advocate, you'll put your knowledge into practice and develop the skills to create positive change.

The Bath Award is one way to work towards Sustainability Advocate status. Complete the sustainability competency and use your Bath Award certificate as evidence for the Advocate level, gaining recognition across both professional development pathways.

Seven courses from across the University's three faculties and School are taking part in the pilot, representing more than 1000 students.
The courses have been selected to reflect the breadth of sustainability across the curriculum and demonstrate its relevance to all disciplines and levels of study.
