Event dates and timings
The Autumn Careers and Placements Fairs are delivered in October on Campus in The Claverton Rooms, BA2 7AY, 11am to 3pm.
Our largest and best-attended Careers Fairs of the academic year the venue is close to the middle of campus. The Fair spans five days to make sure we can accommodate many exhibitors and theme the days appropriately. The topics for each day will be marketed to students to help them narrow their search for placement and graduate opportunities, with the aim of facilitating quality interactions.
Monday 14 to Friday 18 October 2024, 11am to 3pm daily. Themed days as below:
- Monday 14 October: Business, Consulting & Finance - please book this day if only recruiting for this sector.
- Tuesday 15 October: Business, Consulting & Finance 'with' STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) - employers should have opportunities for both sectors.
- Wednesday 16 October: All Disciplines Day - recruiting from 'many' of the Bath disciplines or able to recruit from any discipline.
- Thursday 17 October: STEM Day 1 - only to recruit from our related disciplines.
- Friday 18 October: STEM Day 2 - a further opportunity to recruit from our largest cohorts.
Bookings will open after Easter - please email to be added to the invites.
It's possible to attend more than one day - please request the 'more-than-one-day' rates. Sponsorship of days will be available. There's only one pitch size and daily price. If you think your organisation should receive a lower rate, please get in touch as these will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If your exhibition stand is wider than 2m please email directly as there may be an extra charge. If you have any display items that are heavy / larger than can be placed on your table please also email directly to discuss.
We promote to all years and disciplines.
What we offer
We expect a wide range of industrial, commercial and public sector employers. Students from all years and degree disciplines will be invited to the fairs, which will be widely advertised. Please ensure you have appropriate opportunities for the day you book. The fair is an important event in the annual careers programme, and employers find it a useful opportunity to attract high calibre applicants.
We provide a pitch approximately 2m square, 1 table & 2 chairs, electricity optional at extra charge, all advertising to students, and catering vouchers for 2 reps. We ask no more than 3 reps attend please due the size of the pitch & venue.

Sponsorship
Fair sponsorship package (price TBC), which includes:
- Displaying the sponsor's logo on our webpage promoting the fair to Bath students
- Displaying the sponsor's logo on posters, flyers and LCD screen adverts and social media channels promoting the fair
- Including sponsors and logs in weekly emails to all students from the beginning of the semester until fairs week
- Appearing as a 'featured employer'
- Receiving the most prominent stand in the venue - nearest the main student entrance, or a preferred pitch of your choice
- The cost of electricity and an extra lunch (three in total).

Information for employers attending - Arrivals
All employers will be emailed detailed instructions to the booking contact in September from Victoria Houston.
Courier information is included in the above for you to forward. Please note we cannot accept any deliveries in advance of the day you are booked to attend - we do not have space to store. Couriers must also collect after the fair ends (3pm) same day.
