Associated image 

Associated images can be added to content types with the Narrative component.

They are unique in Typecase because they can be positioned above or alongside blocks of text.  

If positioned above the block of text, images should be:

in a landscape 16:9 ratio
no smaller than 1,280 by 720 pixels
no more than 2,048 by 1,152 pixels

If positioned alongside the block of text, images may be:

in a landscape 16:9 ratio or a portrait 9:16 ratio
no smaller than 720 by 1,280 pixels
no bigger than 1,152 by 2,048 pixels

Components with circular or rectangular image frames

Small images can be used to display awards and accolades, logos of sponsors, partners and funders, and photos of people in circular or rectangular image frames. They are available in the following components:

Circular images should be:

in a square 1:1 ratio
no smaller than 200 by 200 pixels
no bigger than 400 by 400 pixels

Rectangular images should be:

in a 16:9 ratio
no smaller than 200 by 113 pixels
no bigger than 400 by 226 pixels

Featured image 

The Featured image can be added to Announcements.

Featured images appear near the top of the page, below the title and summary. Their width matches the width of the main column of text on the page.

Images should be:

in a landscape 16:9 ratio
no smaller than 1,280 by 720 pixels
no bigger than 2,048 by 1,152 pixels

Focus image 

The Focus image can be added to content types with the Focus component.

Like Featured images, Focus images appear near the top of the page, below the title and summary. Their width exceeds the width of the main column of text on the page, and they should be:

in a landscape 16:9 ratio
no smaller than 1,280 by 720 pixels
no more than 2,048 by 1,152 pixels

Hero image 

Hero images can be added to content types with the Hero component.

Hero images span the entire width of the page.

Hero images should be:

in a landscape 16:9 ratio with a resolution
no smaller than 1,920 by 1,080 pixels
no bigger than 2,560 by 1,440 pixels

Panoramic image thumbnail

A Panoramic image thumbnail must be added to the 360° gallery component in the Campaign content type.

The Panoramic image thumbnail should be:

in a landscape 16:9 ratio
no smaller than 800 by 450 pixels
no bigger than 1,024 by 576 pixels

Pinned item image 

Pinned item images can be added to content types with the Pinned item component.

Pinned item images represent your page when it is pinned to a Topic or Landing page. Images should be:

in a landscape 16:9 ratio
no smaller than 800 by 450 pixels
no bigger than 1,024 by 576 pixels

Role holder image 

Role holder images can be added to the Role holder component in the Person Profile content type. 

Role holder images should be:

in a square 1:1 ratio
no smaller than 800 by 800 pixels
no bigger than 1,024 by 1,024 pixels

Split section image 

Split section images can be added to content types with the Split section component.

Split section images display prominently on the page, sitting alongside a block of text.

Split section images should be:

in a square 1:1 ratio
no smaller than 800 by 800 pixels
no bigger than 1,280 by 1,280 pixels
