Our participants on our outreach programmes are very important to us at the University of Bath. We will therefore guarantee an offer to those who successfully complete the programme (Pathway, Discover or Target Bath) and meet our eligibility criteria as outlined below.
In order to be eligible for a guaranteed conditional* offer to the University of Bath, you must:
- Successfully complete the outreach programme.
- Have not received a guaranteed conditional offer as an outreach participant in a previous cycle.
- Notify us when you have submitted your application via UCAS if you were a participant on Pathway to Bath, Discover Bath, or Target Bath. You should have received an email telling you how to do this. If you require help with this, please email applywithbath@bath.ac.uk making sure your message includes your full name along with the outreach programme you completed.
*If you have already achieved your final grades when you apply you will be eligible for a guaranteed unconditional offer, but only if your grades fully meet our typical requirements (including any contextual offer if you are eligible).
You must meet the following criteria:
Application criteria
Submit your application by the UCAS ‘on time’ deadline for the 2026 or 2027 entry cycle.
Complete all sections of the UCAS application.
Academic criteria
Be studying towards three A levels (or equivalent) qualifications. If the qualification you are studying towards is not listed on the entry requirements section of your chosen degree’s webpage, please contact us before you apply to check if it is one that we can consider.
Be predicted a minimum of two grades below the typical offer for the course you are applying for. For example, if the typical offer is A*AA you will need to be predicted a minimum of AAB. The typical offer for the course can be found through looking at the 'entry requirements' section for your chosen degree. All entry requirements can be found here.
Meet the ‘minimum entry requirements’ for the course you have applied for, as specified below.
Demonstrate an interest in the degree you have applied for through your personal statement.
Our Pharmacy and Social Work and Applied Social Studies degrees require completion of a successful interview by all applicants; therefore, if all other criteria are met, you will be guaranteed an interview rather than a conditional offer. MPharm Pharmacy with preparatory year (5 years) is excluded from this guaranteed offer scheme.
If all of your qualifications are BTECs or Cambridge Technicals, you must be studying in a relevant subject-area. In addition, for many of the courses below there is an interview as part of the admissions process for all applicants progressing via a BTEC qualification, as these qualifications can be harder for us to assess on paper. In this case, you will initially be guaranteed an interview rather than an offer. Please contact us for more information.
For the following degrees, the minimum entry requirements can be found through looking at the ‘entry requirements’ section for your chosen degree from the list below. All entry requirements can be found here:
