DDaT supports learning, teaching and research at the University of Bath

Our Services

We offer a range of IT services to support you throughout your studies

You can work better with:

  • 24/7 access to computers and printing services in the Library
  • Over 1000 public access computers around campus
  • Remote access to your University files, software and printers from your own device, from the comfort of your room

Your cloud storage with Office 365:

  • Use OneDrive to store files in one place, share them with others, and get to them from any device connected to the Internet. You get 1TB of cloud storage space per student account
  • Use Teams to work with others, share ideas, notes, projects, or just chat. You also get 1TB of cloud storage space per team


You can sign up for a range of training courses to help you study

  • Microsoft Excel to manage and present your data
  • Microsoft Word for managing your dissertations and long documents
  • OneNote for creating and managing your lecture notes
  • MindGenius for organising your ideas

Buying a new device

You can get the latest technology and devices at our not-for-profit IT shop and benefit from great discounts and warranty deals

  • For help with purchasing new IT devices and equipment you can visit the IT shop
  • We help you choose the best desktop, laptop or tablet device based on your needs
  • We sell them at not-for-profit prices and they come complete with a 3-5 year warranty
  • We also sell a range of computer accessories including cables, mice and headsets

Help and Support

You can get software and hardware help on your personal devices

  • You can get free support on any issue with your personal devices from the Service Desk
  • You can also submit an IT support request online where you can send and track requests for IT support or report IT service issues
  • We want to ensure that our services are accessible to everyone and so our dedicated team are on hand to advise you on the assistive software packages available, should you need them
  • We've also got a range of guides to help with your IT needs when you join us

Free Software

You can get access to free software including Microsoft Office to support your learning

Our Internet Services

You can access our free Wi-Fi service across campus called Eduroam. You can also connect to this service at other universities across the UK and abroad

  • Get access to high-speed Wi-Fi access on and off campus
  • Connect your computer or games console to the wired internet network via a network cable, which you can purchase from the IT shop
