SETsquared Hydrogen and Sustainable Transport Economy Accelerator


The Hydrogen Sustainable Transport Economy Accelerator is based at the IAAPS facility at the Bristol & Bath Science Park, aiming to foster and accelerate the growth of the hydrogen economy cluster in the West of England. It offers a new package of innovation, investment, and growth support for start-ups and SMEs in the sector, including access to our online community via the Innovation Platform, networking opportunities, one-to-one clinics with advisors and academics in the field, and access to collaborative R&D.

START

Start and scale your own tech company.

START is a new free initiative to take you from idea to starting and scaling your own tech company. A West of England Combined Authority funded programme, led by the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), with the University of Bristol, the University of Bath, Bath Spa University and techSPARK, the team is searching for budding entrepreneurs to elevate their idea to the next level. The programme provides a package of support for 150 pre-start and early formation tech/digital businesses in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset.

FWD Project

FWD is a next-generation skills, training, research and innovation programme helping businesses, employees and learners to be future-ready. A disruptive collaboration between B&NES Council, Bath College, Bath Spa University and the University of Bath fusing science, arts, creativity, and technology. Accelerating learning and development, with business leaders co-designing the syllabus, FWD will improve problem-solving, systems thinking and workplace understanding. FWD will provide a talent pipeline of enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and work-ready people for businesses in the region.

The Intrapreneurial Knowledge Exchange Enterprise Pathway (IKEEP) is a free programme, connecting your business with a team of three university students to complete a short project of your choice.

Leadership development for SMEs

Help to grow: leadership development for SMEs is a 12-week programme to managers and decision-makers in small and medium-sized enterprises.

Designed to be manageable alongside full-time work, Help to Grow helps you develop vital business skills. You'll learn about financial management, innovation, digital transformation and other key areas. The course combines online sessions with face-to-face learning, alongside peer support and mentoring. By the end you'll develop a tailored business growth plan to lead your business to its full potential.
