About the funding

The Medical Research Council works to improve the health of people in the UK by supporting excellent science and training the very best scientists. The GW4 BioMed2 MRC DTP will be awarding full studentships for pre-defined research projects, aligned with the themes of Infection, Immunity, Antimicrobial Resistance and Repair; Neuroscience and Mental Health; and Population Health Sciences.

How to apply

Find a project

You will first need to find an available project that you are interested in.

You may select up to two projects in your application.

Make an application

To apply, use the Doctoral Training Partnership's centralised application form.

There is no need to submit an application to Bath at this stage – applicants who are successful in obtaining an offer of funding from the DTP will be invited to apply for an offer of study from Bath at a later date.
