Understanding postgraduate courses
Most of our postgraduate students have completed an undergraduate degree. They are now studying at a higher level in specialised areas of business, management and finance. MSc projects
Teams can be made up from a range of our MSc courses, matching their expertise to your project topic.
MSc Practice Track
Working in teams, students will work on your project full-time for three weeks in June and July. A lot of our MSc students do Practice Track as a project-based alternative to a traditional master’s dissertation.
Previous project topics have included:

- Addressing the gender pay gap
- Recommending modern marketing techniques for specialised projects
- Analysis of demand for sustainable product certification

MSc industry projects (Industrial Practicums)
Industrial Practicums are extensive research-based investigations into your analytics, operations or sustainability issues.
Students can work on projects in these areas:
- Business analytics
- Operations, supply chain and logistics

Charity fundraising projects
Our MSc students regularly fundraise for charities, as part of:
- the Community Challenge, a two month project
- the Practice Track
- other project work during their course
Charities can also receive business support through our Vertically Integrated Projects.
MBA group projects
Collaborate with our MBA students to explore real business challenges.
Types of project
Our projects will give you fresh insight, strategic recommendations and tangible outcomes while helping to shape the next generation of business leaders.
Social Action Project
An intensive consulting challenge where our students work with a third-sector organisation to learn the realities of social impact work.
Consulting and Change Management Project
In a two-week sprint, students can help you address a live business or organisational change challenge guided by academic experts.
Entrepreneurship Project
Student teams develop and pitch new business concepts to a panel of investors. Contribute by playing the part of mentor, advisor or panel investor.
Consolidating Project
Partner with MBA students through either:
- a Group Consulting Project, where teams work on a significant strategic issue
- an Individual Research Project, where a student does comprehensive research into a business or management topic relevant to you
