This paper development workshop will bring together scholars wishing to submit their work on CSR amid polycrisis.

We are excited to invite you to participate in an online paper development workshop for researchers interested in submitting their work to the upcoming JBR Special Issue entitled ‘Reframing Corporate Social Responsibility in an Age of Polycrisis’.

A briefing event on the Special Issue will take place with Co-Editors from 12 - 1pm (GMT) involving a Q&A session. This session will be recorded and available online afterwards.

We will run three paper development sessions in which invited participants can present their ideas and gain feedback. These will take place at the following times:

  • 8 - 10am (GMT)
  • 1 - 3pm (GMT)
  • 5 - 7pm (GMT)

More details will be provided on requirements for the paper development session following paper acceptance.

Workshop focus

This workshop will provide a unique opportunity to meet with the Co-Editors of this Special Issue to discuss your evolving ideas.

Overview of Special Issue

This special issue aims to take stock of literature on CSR to meaningfully contribute to addressing today’s expanding contexts of polycrisis by gathering scholars interested in resetting, redirecting and reframing the CSR literature towards constructively addressing polycrisis.

We invite empirical, theoretical and case-based research papers that address relevant topics at the intersection of polycrisis and CSR.

  1. Fit with the Special Issue
  2. Methodological quality
  3. Theoretical contribution

The deadline for submission of extended abstracts (2,000 - 2,500 words) is Monday 5 January 2026.
