This event is hosted by Centre for Smart Warehousing and Logistics Systems, in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and will explore the impact of digital technology on logistics.

The first seminar will take place on February 22 at 14:45 via Zoom, and will introduce the concept of SMART Logistics and the broad themes, opportunities and challenges that it presents. Future seminars will consider these issues in greater depth - dates and details for these will be shared in due course.

Speakers

Speakers Professor John Manners-Bell and Mr Ken Lyon will give presentations, and discuss their ideas with moderator and Centre for Smart Warehousing and Logistics Systems Director Dr Vaggelis Giannikas.

Prof John Manners-Bell FCILT is Visiting Professor at the Guildhall School of Business & Law, London Metropolitan University and CEO of Ti-Insight a leading supplier of market research to the global logistics industry.

Ken Lyon is Chairman of Virtual Partners who specialize in the use of advanced information systems to manage 3PL and 4PL operations and their trading networks.

Together they are the authors of The Logistics and Supply Chain Innovation Handbook Disruptive Technologies and New Business Models printed by Kogan Page.
