The Evolution Education Trust supports fundamental research in the fields of evolutionary biology and genetics, as well as research into how best to deliver evolution teaching and outreach. Funded PhD positions are available at the Milner Centre for Evolution, a unique, cross-faculty research centre bridging biology, health and education at the University of Bath.

How to Apply
Identify a project or projects that interest you on our FindAPhD pages for available Evolution Education Trust PhD projects.
You are strongly encouraged to discuss projects directly with the lead supervisor before submitting your application.
Apply using the application form for the relevant PhD programme, as identified in the project advert on FindAPhD.
State clearly in the Finance section of the application that you are applying for an Evolution Education Trust studentship.
In the ‘Your research interests’ section, quote the name of the lead supervisor and the project title for all projects for which are applying. If you apply for more than one project, identify your order of preference.
If you decide to apply for more than one project, you should upload a separate personal statement relevant to each one.
You must provide the names and contact details of two referees (one of whom must be from your most recent place of study) who are available and willing to provide us with a reference when requested.
It is essential that your application is complete with all necessary documentation uploaded. Incomplete applications cannot be considered.
