The Access, Recruitment, and Outreach team is holding its first open house event to share our work with the University community. The event will allow anyone across the University to get an insight into the work that the Student Recruitment and Admissions Department do for UK Recruitment, widening access, and local and regional outreach.
If you're interested in finding out more about what the teams do or you'd like to speak to people in the teams or you'd like to get involved then please register to attend the Open House.
Agenda

During the Open House there will be an exhibition where the teams will be on hand to discuss their work and to answer your questions. You might want to pop in to get your specific questions answered, find out more about some of the programmes or just meet someone you've been emailing for a while.
Alongside the exhibition we have a student panel and a programme of talks. These lightning talks will last around 30 minutes and will give a broad overview of what we do and why. You can then go back to the exhibition to chat to the teams about the detail of what it is they are doing.
- Student panel: Impact of outreach activities - why they chose Bath
- Talk: Access and Participation Plan & Evaluation – the new approach
- Talk: UK Recruitment in numbers: What is the situation at Bath?
- Talk: Support and recognition for staff at Bath undertaking outreach
- Talk: Working with schools - Schools Targeting and what we do in schools
- Talk: Supporting local and regional schools - outreach and careers support from Bath
- Talk: Widening Access and Recruitment activities - What’s on offer and what’s the impact?
Morning and afternoon refreshments and a networking lunch will be provided.
The event is drop-in so you don't need to stay for the whole duration (unless you want to). The talks will be repeated twice during the event and the exhibition will be open for the duration.
