The International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR) and Management and Organization Review (MOR) are holding this two-day conference and paper development workshop focusing on organisation and management in China and global comparable contexts.

The workshop will be led by Foster School of Business' Professor Xiao-Ping Chen, Editor-in-Chief of MOR, and other deputy and senior editors of MOR. We encourage all IACMR members, especially doctoral students and junior faculty, to submit complete papers to this conference.

All selected participants will receive direct feedback from MOR editors in a small group setting, conducive to open discussion and instant feedback. While there is no obligation to submit invited manuscripts to MOR, we strongly encourage the authors to do so.

We plan to offer a fast-track review process for submitted papers and publish them in a timely fashion once they meet MOR publishing standard.

We welcome any research papers related to management and organisation in China and global comparable contexts, in the area of organisational behaviour, human resource management, firm strategy, entrepreneurship, international business, family business, and technology and innovation.

Please submit your full paper to Dr Chenjian Zhang at MOR2024@bath.ac.uk by Tuesday 31 October 2023.

Please refer to the MOR Author Submission Guidelines to prepare your manuscript.

Acceptance decisions will be made by Thursday 30 November 2023.

Conference format

To facilitate close personal engagement with – and feedback from – deputy and senior editors of MOR, spaces for this paper development workshop are limited.

We anticipate accepting 10-20 papers for this conference, depending on the quality of submissions.

The conference will be conducted in-person at the University of Bath School of Management. In an effort to make the event more inclusive, we may offer a session in a virtual format if necessary.
