Sarah Warbis - Bath 3MT 2023 winner

Sarah Warbis, Department of Psychology, took part in the University of Bath's Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition and went on to win the competition at the Doctoral Research Celebration Evening in June 2023.

3MT celebrates the exciting research conducted by PhD students around the world. Developed by The University of Queensland, the competition cultivates academic, presentation, and research communication skills by challenging students to present their entire thesis - usually around 80,000 words - in just three minutes. Students are allowed to use one PowerPoint slide and no other resources. Sarah's topic was 'Sexual assault in a 'just world': an immersive VR study of bystanders'.

Sarah then competed in the national competition and has made it through to the prestigious National Final as one of six finalists.

The final has been pre-recorded and will be streamed live on Friday 15 September 2023. To celebrate Sarah's achievement we are hosting a watch party for the community to come together and watch the event live. We will have nibbles, drinks and there will be an opportunity to meet Sarah in person as well as cheer her on and congratulate her.
